Writing Workshop with Anna Lau

April 8, 2024 at 7pm-8.30pm

£5

ONLINE via ZOOM

If you’re feeling misaligned, know the world needs reminding through you, you take broken steps and dance out of time, so we need you, the medicine runs through you.

Through music, movement, free writing and storytelling, we will go on a journey exploring what we might perceive to be our greatest shortcomings or weaknesses, and cross the edges into which they become otherwise.

We will begin with listening to a story told through music, towards exploring our wounds through movement. Then, we will go into free writing, or use the framework of a “once upon a time” to write out the journey through which our protagonists find the medicine that transforms burdens into gifts, weaknesses into strength.

Anna draws from her practice in writing, music and somatic practice and her process in writing her novel. She is currently a doctoral researcher at the Critical Decade for Climate Change programme at University of East Anglia.

To join, RSVP via Google Form to receive the Zoom link.
